Plymouth store refurbishment - delivering a new furniture shopping experience

Ever since we opened our Plymouth store in 1986, we’ve wanted to bring customers like you the best furniture buying experience in the South West by continually investing in refreshing the exterior and interior.

We're delighted to announce that during the spring and summer of 2024 we’re undertaking a complete showroom refurbishment to bring you a bright, fresh and inspiring store for the future. Starting in early April, this extensive work will transform the existing showroom into a contemporary and exciting retail experience.

The refurbishment will be done over 6 months, completing in the early autumn.

Don't worry - the store will remain open throughout the works ensuring you'll still be able to shop for your furniture, beds and flooring throughout.

Investing over £1.5m into the local economy

The new store layout will make Plymouth's biggest and best furniture store even better. Including fantastic new displays that will allow customers to shop in greater comfort - as well as a single level and fully accessible layout - the store will feature more furniture, beds and flooring than ever before.

This project represents an investment of over £1.5m into the local economy.  As a family owned company headquartered in Plymouth, Fairway Furniture is delighted that it can use local and other South West based contractors to deliver this exciting project.

Refurbishment Timeline:

• 24 March to 14 April -  £1.5 Million Refurbishment Sale
• 8 April & May - Phase 1
• May & June - Phase 2
• June & July - Phase 3
• July & August - Phase 4
• September - store refurbishment estimated completion

The refurbishment work for this major project will be carried out by the following contractors, all of whom are Plymouth or South West companies.  We're delighted that we can work with local suppliers who are such specilists in their fields/
