Firm and unyielding
I visited Fairway's Plymouth store where they have an Antigua bed on display. The display bed is made with one half "medium" firmness and the other half labelled "Firm".
I chose to order the softer and more comfortable option, but when my bed arrived, I found that it is very firm indeed, although it carries the "Medium" label.
I have had this bed for less than a fortnight, but I have developed a sore back which is getting worse every night I sleep on it. I have never had back problems before, but the sheer firmness of this bed just does not suit me.
Our comment
We are sorry to learn that you are finding this bed uncomfortable. We always recommend customers try beds in the showroom for a period to ensure they are to their liking. All new beds will start firmer than the display versions, but as they are used they will soften and become comparable. Some personal discomfort is possible during this period. We have now sent our inspector to check your bed and have confirmed that there are no manfacturing faults.
